The Easy Way to Refine Google Searches
Of course Google allows easy access to billions of web pages but did you know you can also do amazingly focused searches? For example, you can now search 12 different file types - returning only the one you want. Read on to find out more. Of course Google allows easy access to billions of web pages. That's a few ;-) But what if you want a more focused search? There are a number of Google web search features but one of the most useful is the search by file type. Google now gives you the ability to search 12 different file types, including: PDF (pdf), Word
(doc), PowePoint (ppt), PostScript (ps), Shockwave Flash (swf) - see the full list here: http://www.google.com/help/faq_filetypes.html All you do is enter your search term. For example: Red Sox - then just add: filetype:pdf after your
search term and your results will only include PDF files. Nice. You can also search just education sites or government sites or even ask a question (and many other custom searches) - really cool stuff but who has the time to memorize all these "secret" codes? Well, Soople (meaning Simple Google) solves all these problems for you as it put all these selectors
on one page. No more trying to wrack your brain out trying to remember selectors and code strings. Soople simply puts all this into one page so you can easily refine the search terms for the information
you are looking for. Check it out below: Soople: http://soople.com/ This is one to bookmark and you'll find you'll be using it more than think. I know I do. Doug Farrick
